SOUTHWICK — With the newly reformed Open Space Committee tasked with drafting a new Open Space and Recreation Plan, the Conservation Commission unanimously supported asking the Select Board to provide it a secretary and reestablish it as permanent town committee.
CHICOPEE — While many people prepare for the holiday season in December, the Chicopee St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has been busy handing out awards, appointing important members for its festivities and opening its colleen application.
WEST SPRINGFIELD — During the West Springfield Town Council meeting on Dec. 15, Town Council members praised the departing members for their public service.
HOLYOKE — The Holyoke Teachers Association hosted a press conference on Dec. 17 to announce that members of the HTA overwhelmingly voted no confidence in the School Committee’s bargaining team following months of stalled negotiations.
WILBRAHAM — The Wilbraham Select Board interviewed and appointed Ostaquio Rodrigues and Nicholas Cervizzi to the Wilbraham Police Department in its Dec. 15 meeting. Police Chief Edward Lennon presented the candidates to the Select Board.
AGAWAM — The Agawam City Council meeting on Dec. 15 served as the final one for councilors Gerald Smith, Peter Smus and Maria Valego, who were beaten in their races in the 2025 election.
