SOUTHWICK — Meeting for the second time since a brawl between visitors and neighbors just outside the North Pond Conservation Area, the Select Board on July 22 discussed forming a task force to address misuse of the property.
SOUTHWICK — It’s a warning that Public Works Director Randy Brown provides the Select Board every summer: sewer user fees are not keeping up with the amount of money needed for the town to operate its sewer system which is forcing the town to rely on all its taxpayers to subsidize its operation.
WESTFIELD — In late June, the Westfield River Watershed Association put out an appeal for more board members, saying it was in danger of folding after 72 years due to lack of a quorum for meetings.
