Hampden conducts public meeting on Master Plan process
HAMPDEN — On June 17, the town of Hampden hosted its first public meeting in its process of creating a new Master Plan to guide the town for the next 10-15 years.
HAMPDEN — On June 17, the town of Hampden hosted its first public meeting in its process of creating a new Master Plan to guide the town for the next 10-15 years.
LONGMEADOW — After more than an hour of discussion on June 17, the Longmeadow Select Board elected to hold off on setting the town’s water and sewer rates for fiscal year 2025 until the body could meet with a representative from the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission.
EAST LONGMEADOW — At the June 17 School Committee meeting, Superintendent Gordon Smith and members of the leadership teams from each of East Longmeadow’s five schools presented an end-of-year update on the district and individual schools’ goals, successes and needed growth following the 2023-24 school year.
LONGMEADOW — About 50 people turned out for a public update and listening session regarding Longmeadow’s middle school project. The June 18 meeting at the Adult Community Center featured a presentation with early ideas for a combined middle school on the existing Williams Middle School campus.
WESTFIELD — The Wyben Fourth of July Committee has announced that Annette and James “Jim” Bemis, “outstanding members of the Wyben community,” will be the 2024 grand marshals for this year’s parade. Sue Crane, a member of the parade committee, said the selection is well deserved.
