WEST SPRINGFIELD — In the midst of strong winds and falling snow, representatives of West Springfield and Westfield Gas & Electric gathered Jan. 29 to officially break ground on a fiber-optic cable hut.

LONGMEADOW — Online financial transactions have been a major path for theft and identity fraud for years. As more safeguards have been put in place to protect against those crimes, thieves have shifted back to more low-tech methods of stealing from the public.
LONGMEADOW — At the School Committee’s Jan. 30 meeting, Longmeadow Public Schools Superintendent M. Martin O’Shea announced that the district would receive a grant for “student social emotional learning, their behavioral and mental health, and overall wellness” in fiscal year 2025.
