With 2026 just days away, Reminder Publishing is taking a look back at 2025 and the biggest stories from East Longmeadow, Hampden, Longmeadow and Wilbraham as well as from across the region. Between shifts in leadership, controversial building projects and more, 2025 was another year to remember.
HAMPDEN — At the Dec. 8 meeting, the Hampden Selectboard voted to support the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District Committee’s decision to withdraw from it’s current Massachusetts School Building Authority project.
WILBRAHAM — Wilbraham United Church hosted its 15th annual Holly Fair on Dec. 13.
WILBRAHAM — The Hampden Wilbraham Education Association held a stand-out demonstration on Dec. 12 at Crane Park, bringing awareness to ongoing challenges educators have faced while working under expired contracts.
HAMPDEN — The Hampden Wilbraham Regional District School Committee is one step closer to getting a decision from the select boards about withdrawing Wilbraham Middle School from the Massachusett School Building Authority’s accelerated repair program and joining the core program.
WILBRAHAM — While the future of Wilbraham Middle School is still up in the air, the Hampden-Wilbraham School District School Committee met with the Select Board on Nov. 24 for advice on where to move forward in the MSBA project.
