HAMPDEN — The town of Hampden approved three new full-time members for the Conservation Commission, bringing the number of voting members to six. Associate commission members Eric Ainsworth, Joe Zinno and Marilyn D’Agostino asked to be made voting commissioners on Sept. 2.

EAST LONGMEADOW — With a failed attempt to site a warehouse at 330 Chestnut St. fresh in the minds of residents, East Longmeadow Redevelopers, LLC brought a new plan for the site to the Planning Board on Sept 3.
LONGMEADOW — With a vote of 1,374-402, residents in Longmeadow chose to fund a $151.59 million combined middle school on the existing Williams Middle School campus.
HOLYOKE — During the Aug. 27 Massachusetts School Building Authority Board meeting, the Board of Directors approved up to $46 million for 10 Accelerated Repair Projects for schools in seven districts, including three projects in Holyoke.
SOUTH HADLEY — The Selectboard and School Committee hosted a joint meeting on Sept. 2 to interview candidates for a vacant School Committee position.
